NO wonder there are so many stupids out there

Fox used a dishonest comparison of two different measures of unemployment to suggest the unemployment rate has nearly doubled since President Obama took office.

During a segment criticizing the Obama administration for its messaging on the economy, a Fox & Friends graphic claimed that the "real unemployment rate" had increased from 7.8% in 2009 to 14.7% now

Huffpo has said they will air a "correction" tomorrow.

That screen also shows an unemployment rate for government workers of 5.1%. Anyone wanna try to explain how people who work for the government have an unemployment rate above zero?

How is it that last week, FOX News and other conservative morons were bashing the President over the unemployment rate dropping from 8.3% to 8.1% as being 'not good enough'. And a week later, it suddenly jumps up to 14.7%? Did we all miss 8+ million people being laid-off in the course of four or five business days?

And the folks that didnt get this material, or known why its blatantly false, are the same ones that will vote for a guy that flip-flops more often than Al Gore and John Kerry....COMBINED! The track record for giving correct numbers and concepts for Republicans has dimished so badly we have to 'fact check' every line they give us. The good old days when they got at least one fact in a five minute speech correct, eh?

cuckoldmepls -> RE: Today In Dishonest Fox News Graphics (9/12/2012 8:51:32 AM)

Every news agency makes some mistakes, not sure what this one was, but the bottom line is that in every previous recession in history, we recovered in a short 2 to 3 yrs, excluding the depression of course. This recession started in 2006 and Bush passed the first stimulus in Feb 2008 so that means by any reasonable measure, this recession should have been over by now.

Why Isn't it? Because Obama's only economic plan is to spend more money that we don't have. As Ross Perot said, "Before the great depression our country was in good financial shape and was a positive constructive force in getting us through it. This time around if we have a financial melt down our government, because of its weak financial condition, will be a liability and people will suffer for decades and you and I will not let that happen. Right? Right."

Wrong. You are letting it happen.

if you dont know what the problem is with the topic, you really shouldnt be commenting, its fairly easy for most people to understand..I laid it out for anyone above a grade five level reading level, the links even have pretty pictures

PS why didnt the jobs bill pass a year ago ??? oh ya... the Republican party who ran on a platform of JOBS JOBS JOBS, voted it down....

tazzygirl -> RE: Today In Dishonest Fox News Graphics (9/12/2012 9:00:19 AM)

Oh please. This recession has rocked financial institutions that were in business for a century... collapsed a few too. Economists have stated, repeatedly, there was no quick fix this time. And you expected a turn around in 3 years?

Must be nice living in your fantasy world.

cuckoldmepls -> RE: Today In Dishonest Fox News Graphics (9/12/2012 9:07:04 AM)

Oh, i see what you are talking about. Egypt is in the wrong place. Well that obviously proves that Fox needs to be executive ordered off the air or the government needs to nationalize them and send them to FEMA camps never to be heard from again, unless of course they are receptive to behaviour modification.

Yes, you are right, they should go off the air, just like Dan Rather.

cuckoldmepls -> RE: Today In Dishonest Fox News Graphics (9/12/2012 9:10:30 AM)

Geeze, they had control of both houses of Congress for 2 years and they weren't the least bit worried about jobs. Quite honestly, I'm not even sure what they did for 2 years since they rammed Obamacare down our throats in what seemed like 6 mths. You would think it would only take one yr each to accomplish both with a well thought out plan and taking into consideration gop ideas which would have made both plans better for everyone.

cuckoldmepls -> RE: Today In Dishonest Fox News Graphics (9/12/2012 9:14:01 AM)

Remember, this is the party that wouldn't even remove Viagara as a paid benefit. So now every young person working at McDonald's who makes over the zero bracket amount is helping to pay for some old man to get his rocks off that he's been doing for 50 yrs already anyway. You would think that would be enough.

That same kid can't even afford to date a woman, much less get married & buy a house & raise a family.
