That's great! It's wonderful when one's creativity is inspired. Good on you. And that you are posting - another good on you! Not everyone has the courage to do that. I'm a writer, but there have been times when NOTHING inspired me and I wrote out of necessity and slogged through. (Stick a fork in my eye next time, will you? It'll be less painful!)
As to poetry in particular, I almost never write it, but when it hits me square between the eyeballs, it's write it down or go crazy with it knocking on my brain like Patrick Swayze did Whoopi Goldberg in GHOST.
