Anyone here got a KoL account?

I'm ReiMadoka (#2225923) and my store is Walpurgis no Yoru. We should totally all buy stuff from each other and be friends! The path I'm currently on is the Zombie Slayer one - it's pretty sweet if you like that sort of thing.

Well, its an ultra-geeky browser based game mixing multiple genres together to form a text-based (similar to a "MUD") game which is a lot like WOW or any other mission based MMO except it has no real graphical interface. Its fun, dont get me wrong, but its a lot of clicking on links and reading mission results text.

Its a VERY long running game and very popular in the txt based MMO scene. If it is anything, it is FUNNY as hell. The names of monsters as well as the items you can get are very funny, and slapsticky. it has a great deal of puzzles within the game as well as all sorts of interesting -if not weird- places to travel and boss type monsters to defeat.

Its worth it to make a free account and check it out for a couple hours. It is VERY easy to play but nearly IMPOSSIBLE to master.

also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Loathing if u feel like reading up a bit, and the gme has its own massive wiki as well

Yes, what Isa said is right: it's basically an in-browser RPG with bad graphics (on purpose), loads of pop culture references and general fun. One of my favourite games since I got back into it on 1st April 2011 and I've basically played it every day since.

Here is a fun example, if you've watched the show "Black Adder" before: Black adder.

I have heard of KoL , and some of my friends have tried to get me on to it. NOOOOOOO!!!

The game IS supercool, but I am not a person that does the whole game thing well. I never understood the *point* of games, with very few exceptions, and when I start playing something I become madly competitive. I even tried to do the trivia on Fetl--and I am GOOD at the trivia--but I had to quit because I was getting all riled.
