Whatever it is, it appears it's unfortunately not fixable. If it doesn't get any worse, and you can live it, it's not harming anything. If not, decent monitors have come WAY down in price in the last year, and places like Newegg are constantly having sales and promotions on monitors. If you sign up for their "e-blasts", you'll get a daily email describing what's on sale. Once you find something you like, you can unsubscribe. The other place that carries a ton of monitors and has lots of sales is Dell. If you have a local Costco, that's also a decent place to look, and they do have that 90 days no questions asked full refund policy if you don't like what you buy. The one thing that's certain is that unless there's something exceptional about your monitor, it's not worth paying money to have it repaired.
