Why hasn't anyone mentioned that the convention security threw the two people out, and the GOP already released statements saying that the behaviour was unacceptable?

That did happen. However, I'm surprised that the two weren't detained.

It has been mentioned...

I heard about it last night, but havent been around today to see if vid or pics have shown up
any updates?
actually gonna go look see now

I did look before I started the thread Lucy but didnt see anything. I am guessing by statements from the RNC that it took place, I just wonder if CNN had the cameras rolling.

Wow. Ok.. .lets back this up a bit.
A few Republicans.. and we all must admit they are registered Republicans because they would not have been inside otherwise... act in a very crude, cruel manner for whatever reason they desire.
But we need to stop calling the whole party racist. I looked into servant's claim.. and he seems to be correct. I prefer C-Span myself for things such as this. There is also Fox and CNN for coverage. No one is locked down into MSNBC.
Coming back to MSNBC. They didnt cover all the speeches. And? I seem to recall many here saying how Fox didnt need to cover anything they didnt want too. Well, now those same one's are jumping on MSNBC... or will be. Its simple.. if you dont like the coverage.. change the channel.

The problem with this (and I agree they do get to cover whatever they want), is when they make allegations of racism and then don't air minority speeches at the convention. That's simply reporting what you want so you can make allegations that aren't necessarily accurate. Not what a "media outlet" is supposed to do. Imagine what the outcry would be if FoxNews's news shows only showed half of the Democrat speeches and then blamed them for biases against races, ethnicities, or genders of the speakers not shown.

Yes, they can air whatever they want. But, the "news" stuff is supposed to be unbiased. And, I would hold FoxNews to the same standards for their news programs. Personally, I don't watch any TV news, so what speeches were shown or weren't shown on whatever channel went completely by me.

And I never take what just one source. I sometimes watch Fox, then will flip to CNN, then to C-Span, for example. I did see some talk about a poll taken showing no black support for the Republicans.... something I find very hard to believe. Better to take the margin of error on that one.

However, what I did find interesting from that poll... lemme see if I can find the link...

quote:

Is it possible that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney could receive no support from African-Americans in the November election?

A recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows Romney with 0 percent of the African-American vote, while President Barack Obama receives 94 percent.

http://www.app.com/article/20120824/NJNEWS/308240092/presidential-poll

Now, what that says to me... and maybe this is just me...

We know the GOP has black members... we know they have black supporters... the question I am having is the validity of polling when the results can be so skewed as this.

I hope you didn't take that as I accused you of anything. I think we both know better than that. But, I was just commenting on MSNBC. What was the voter support for Obama in 2008 among blacks? Wasn't it something ridiculous like 98%?

I think it was 96% with a margin of error at 3%.

It was ridiculous.... but it only goes to show who they really poll.. and it makes me wonder just how accurate these measures can be. Not very in my opinion.

And, no, didnt take your post as accusing me of anything at all. Many people will get hung up on one source.... which I found to be dangerous.
