Rant and inquiry

What's with this attitude on the other side that some one might drop a person a line and ask if they know anyone local that might want to hook up with them? If it was the first time I would just drop it and move on. But I guess because the school year is starting and both students and teacher types.. or other people moving into the area are in abundance, I at least have had 8 of these in the last month.

I have been polite. I point them in the right directions, ie, local groups for both munches and parties in my area. Usually I let them know that because we have so many options and the groups here are very informative, that very few people will just go off with someone they haven't even met for a hook up.

It just irritates me that anyone would think that just because I am local I may know someone I wouldn't mind sacrificing to a stranger for a bit of play. What do they imagine, that just because I am kinky I am also a pimp? Even worse... I have NEVER seen any one of those guys take the suggestion to join in on one of our local groups.

AURRRRRRGGGH.
Yes, this is a rant, but what do you do when people send you emails asking if you know of anyone they might invite for a bit of play?

I usually reply that I would never give their contact information to a complete stranger and that they are a moron for even suggesting it. For all they know, I could be giving them the number of the crack whore down the street with AIDS.

I don't get these requests here on CM, but when my OKCupid profile was plastered with "found someone; not looking" I did get a fair amount of requests for one of my friend's phone number from white guys who I would tell that she's out of state and doesn't date white guys.

I guess here I would also refer them to munches.

I get so much dross in my inbox that I'm surprised at the quality emails rather than the reverse.

Not those exact words, but that gist. These people are my friends, you're a stranger. Why would I recommend you to them? If you want to meet them, then get your ass to a social and meet them.

It happens on the other side of the kneel, too. I can't tell you how many times over the years I have said that I wasn't looking and/or interested in a person and they have asked Me if I knew someone who might be.

I tell people flat out that I would NEVER recommend somebody that I didn't know from Adam to somebody that I knew. There's no way I'm putting My reputation on the line for some twit who just happened to send Me an email.

Truly nuts. I got another request today. Gad I hate when the college comes back in full force. What is worse is I am pretty sure as these requests come from men around my age, they may be professors.

JanahX -> RE: Pimping (8/28/2012 9:48:08 PM)

I just give them ex-boyfriends phone numbers that I hate -
