Here's a new one for me. I received CMail from 'Goddess(area code)' whose horribly written profile is clearly and strictly about tribute and other domme-for-money-related matters. To paraphrase 'her' note:

is this realy true wat u rote abot <member I wrote a positive experience post about several months ago, then link to that post> just cheking sorces

Knowing my friend as I do, I highly doubt he initiated contact with 'goddess'. In fact I'd bet my left eye if he actually read her profile he'd laugh so hard he'd cry first, then throw up.

My questions are:

1. Is it common for pro/fins to 'chek sorces' and what exactly does that mean?

2. I am not a pro/fin and nothing in my profile gives that impression. Why is 'she' asking if I'm telling the truth about my positive experience? For all she knows I'm just another internet f*ckwit. Why take my word for it?

Not speaking as a pro here, just a fin. but to answer..
1. if a slave/sub comes to us with recommendations, at least some of us are likely to check them. I do, and a few other ladies I know do, especially when it's a potential relationship that someone has the goal of making RT.
2. bluh? No answer here except.. scammer? Dumber than a box of smiling pet rocks? A findomme isn't going to chase after a sub/slave. We put ourselves out there every way we can, websites, advertising etc, to gain attention, but I've never met a woman who was pure fin or mainly fin who went out of her way to initiate contact with a sub. Generalizing here but most of us would rather they do so because- well hey, if you're not interested, it's a waste of everyones time, right?

Sounds like she's planning to mailbomb sub males' inboxes. If so, asking for references isn't a bad idea.

Perhaps an important omission: my friend is listed here as a dominant. To me that makes it even weirder.

The only thing I can think of is in the post I made comments about what a gentleman he was and how I really appreciated the lengths (literally...600 mi. round trip) he went for an enjoyable evening. We went to a formal movie screening/banquet at Hearst Castle, had a cup of coffee, then he drove home...nothing remotely kinky about it.

Maybe she thought they'd have the same kind of date and he'd pay her too.

Not a pro. Not a fin. However, to answer your question, YES! When other women see or hear that person X will travel distances for you, others will come out of the woodwork trying to get person X to do the same for them, ask them for "favors," or try to get some kind of angle for themselves.

I think we can handle it without getting nailed.

The deal is, as many women know, very few males tend to follow through. On both sides of the kneel, you've got a lot of males on the net who are all talk, but only a percentage follow through. Yet, as any woman knows, there are those who will.

When you consider all of the nonsense that most women go through on the net to find the ones who stand out, some folks think that is a short cut. We know there are decent guys out there who absolutely will go out of their way, travel, be a friend first, etc. However, electronically, they do tend to be in the minority. Somebody is just trying to piggyback on your success.

Back to topic: had a chat with my friend. He's been approached by findoms several times now where he wasn't before the post was made. Well...no good deed goes unpunished. Say something nice about someone and the vultures descend.
