PLus I am a dumbass and probably overdid it today.

I went for a walk this morning in the rain. It felt GREAT! Until I was on my way back home and was suddenly tired...so I slowed down.
Then the next errm..2 hours ish I was uhh...busy ;)
Then I spent some time on the phone in a really good conversation packing back and forth through my house because that's what I do.
Then I made dinner.
Then I drove an hour to go pick something up and thought I was being a good girl by not lifting a damn thing.

and now that my day is done and I've listed my sins...I see I probably did way more than I should have today.
Bah, toorrow is another day, hopefully I don't fuck it up.

Are your stitches still in Lucifyre? Benadryl makes an anti-itch stick, and there is another one called After Bite. You might try one of them along the suture lones, but as was previously mentioned, itiching is good. It is a sign of healing.

They're supposed to be dissolving...but I can still smell the mediciny smell they give off. Yet another bonus to this damned surgery...my sense of smell went into overdrive too.
I've got some benedryl pills, and I took one as soon as I saw MDA's post last night, it helped a little bit.

Probably another week of torture and then all will be well.

Another reason the suture lines are itchy could simply be dry skin. A thin layer of polysporin ointment (NOT cream) could help.

Another topical is Bactine Liquid First Aid Pump Spray. It is an antiseptic and an anesthetic!

have 6 stitches at the moment, if you
buy a tube of that "painless tattoo" cream,
you can just put some of that on and the
area goes completely numb No itching.
