A candidate for sheriff openly threatening to use "deadly force" to prevent a perfectly legal event occurring ...... Surely this is illegal and the idiot concerned ought to be arrested and charged. Whether one is pro-choice or anti-abortion doesn't really matter in this instance. The issue here is that someone is threatening violence, up to and including murder to prevent law abiding citizens engaging in perfectly lawful acts. It really ought to go without saying that the moron is wholly unsuitable as a candidate for any position of authority in any area of law enforcement and that includes issuing parking tickets.

Oh, I have no problem of him arresting doctors who perform abortions IF he is elected. Abortion does not have any restrictions on it in NH (until next year and that is for partial-birth abortions). So he will be tied up in civil rights and civil court issues along with false imprisonment. He will get booted out of office and will become very broke besides. edit: clarity
