defiantbadgirl -> a question about Dragon software (8/24/2012 1:37:21 PM)

Does anyone know if Dragon voice recognition software can be used to make flash cards? Study cards work very well for me when studying for college exams, but they take a long time to make (I've been using index cards). It would save so much time if I could simply state what I wanted on the front and back of study cards, then print them out. Does anyone know if this is possible? If so, will the Dragon home version work or do I need the office version?

Part of the learning process is writing them down. If it takes you a long time, all the better. Keep repeating the word or statement in your head over and over again and write slowly and take your time. It will save you time on the other end. There's no "fast way" to memorize, even if you speed up the front end.

I learn far more going through flash cards than making them. Making them takes so long it seriously cuts into my study time, which is why I'm looking for a faster way to make them.

explore one of the hand scanners . These looks like pens , when you move them over text, it copies the scanned text to memory which you can transfer it to your computer via a USB. Not as neat as an index card but it works.
I think also if you recorded what you said , then once you write the index cards based on what is recorded, it will help u memorize it better than just reading the already printed cards for you. Just a personal opinion.
