Uncertainty anxiety is something that is a constant and it will make your life difficult. One thing that might help is to recognize that your life will not get back to normal until the uncertainty is lifted, and until then, everything is going to be more difficult. Its pointless to swim against the current, so its probably best to maneuver in it. I am an immigration lawyer by trade. My clients often face massive uncertainty and a long legal process. The first thing I tell them is not to watch the speed (or lack of speed) of the case itself, and then to not focus on what might happen, but rather on what they can do now to either plan their future or improve their chances of winning when its time to testify or appear for a hearing. I also try to remind clients that other people have a much worse position than them, i.e. that in some ways they are lucky and blessed despite their troubles. So, take inventory of your advantages. On a more micro level -- small rewards to yourself -- hold on those and value them: Coffee with something good to read, your team winning a game. time spent with your friends. Sometimes, too, helping another gets your mind of yourself. Good luck!
