Lordy, I remember them. The hair! I had a friend whose bf used industrial car glue to spike up his 12" mohawk. They had to sleep apart or she'd get pierced by the hair spears at night.

Status: offline 		I remember when my daughter was into the whole goth thing and she was so "goth" because of the music and shock to the general society.

That's when I had to tell her and pull out the pictures of mom when she was a goth and it wasn't all about music or shocking people. It was an attitude, a philosophy of life/death, a "lifestyle".

Back then the goths and punks were two totally separation groups that really did not like each other. Neither one had the same views on life and death. It had nothing to do with the music or outfits. When I was about 13-14, I was a goth. Then as I got older, did more crazy stuff and got drunk all the time, I switched to being a punk. I even had a leather jacket with the anarchy symbol on the back.

A punk was all about anarchy and screwing The Man.
Goth was about we all live, we all die, there is nothing else in between.

top notch. in that flat field is my favorite though. i was, and still am a goth. my son loves alot of what i do too. he doesn't try to teach me anything about it, but does come and ask if i have anything 'new' for him to listen to.
