Status: offline 		I actually saw the program where he landed that fish. most certainly real. the only problem with those huge fish is sometimes they fight so hard that they die once he's got them out of the water. there are also times where the tribes he uses as guides don't let him put them back as they can feed the whole tribe with them. he sure does catch some weird fish too.

Status: offline 		I thought I better double check that info, I think the show I saw meant tigerfish are Africa's version of the piranha, they aren't actually related as far as Wiki tells me.

Status: offline 		The Goliath Tigerfish, as pictured, are reported to attack people, and in one of his shows, he discovered that they do hunt in packs.

Now, here are a few points that I am curious about:

1) If the natives know that something like that with those teeth are in the water, why in the hell do they get in the freaking water?
questions 2-100 are identical to the above.

I mean there is a local lake that was built as a water source for a local power plant, there have been catfish photographed that are as long as the average adult male human, and there is no way in hell I will swim there.

Nor do I swim at public beaches where bull sharks are frequently seen, or engage in any water related activities anywhere where there may be alligators.

While I do still scuba dive, i prefer to dive on reefs, such as found in the keys, and on wrecks. I carry a bang stick on the off hand chance of meeting an aggressive shark, but most of the time, they seem content to keep their distance.
