OMG, you're killing me chief. I got a picture of him fishing on my friends charter boat in the Bahamas about 10 years ago. Even back then, in the sun his wrinkles are so intense, he looks like a dehydrated Shar Pei.

Level, Punisher, I am presently trying to ascertain the overall condition of a 68 jeep cj with a v6 engine. I want to rebuild it like the one I had in the army, 6inch rise in the suspension, two alternators and batteries, 25 ton wench on the front bumper and a beefed up running gear. Standard tranny of course.

Level,that's one of my toys.It's an '85 4x4 with a nice 454 stuck off in it.I don't drive it as much as I want...not with it's love of fossil fuels.If I ever get through with my current project,I'll post pics of it.A complete rebuild and modifcation of a 1948 Willys Jeepster with a small block Chevy...not sure if I'll run a 283 or a 350[I have both].What I started with is below,it is media blasted top and bottom now and primed.Next comes the engine and trans before I worry about the paint[emerald metal flake green w/tan top and interior].

Jlf,I have not dealt with many CJ Jeeps,in the past me and my brothers have had a couple of old Willys Jeeps with the flathead engines.But can I ask what do you need a 25 ton wench for? If you tied off a CJ to a tree and tried wenching out something that big,you might pull the CJ in to pieces.Jlf,if you plan on upgrading the rears and stuff,I would basically check out the body for rust and look over the frame really good.Most older Jeeps do not live pampered lives.
