I also loved the wheel standers like the Little Red Wagon and Hemi Under Glass. I'll never forget one of my first drag races. I was quite young and my dad took me to see the Batmobile exhibition race for it's public debut at the Motor City Dragway in the late 60s. Adam West (Batman) showed up tooo drunk to talk straight. The dragstrip announcer really hammed it up in the interview and it was funny as hell. Anyway, the Little Red Wagon was also there and it was awesome.

Later when I was old enough, I used to go on my own to the Detroit Dragway (radio spots) and the Motor City Dragway. I'll never forget the radio ads “SUNDAY, SUNDAY at MOTOR CITY DRAGWAY…". Originally the races were on Saturday (radio spot) but they were on Sunday when I was old enough to go on my own in the 70s.

RS,that was a picture of a clone of the Ramchargers racing team car that they called the High and the Mighty.They were a group of Chrysler engineers that were the ones that developed the hemi.
