When I was a kid, we sneered at those Aussie wannabe's. Instead we smoked Acapulco Gold and swigged Jack to the classics

Meanwhile, speaking of dimebag, way back when I lived in New Orleans I was blasting round town one lovely Halloween night (No better town evah for Halloween)dispensing happiness (in the shape of little pieces of blotter paper with funny designs on it)when some cats invited me to "this bitching shindig" in the Quarter. Walked in to a huge Gothic type manor, there this stripper-type gal chained to a cross in the foyer, an umbrella stand full of canes, floggers and various striking implements to take a crack at her and I knew I was in for a funfun eve.And that was just the entrance. Inside, things got really weird
Yeah, the party was hosted by Pantera.
It turned out to be a truly spectacular night and a great time was had by all. Wish I could remember more than bits and pieces

Loved Black Sabbath... and Blue Öyster Cult, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Pink Floyd and so happy when these guys got back together for a reunion album and tour.

I actually (oooh, this is so dating me) saw two Black and Blue tours, one when Sabbath was with Ozzie and the next with Dio

Thanks everyone for reminding me of music I haven't listened to in years. Heard this today and it brought me back.

Missed those tours... though I did see Blue Öyster Cult twice, once in a huge areana show and the second time with no stage show, just playing a small club selling shirts themselves... "On Tour Forever" on the back of the t-shirts.

Saw Dio once, never with Sabbath though.

A lifetime later... does anyone remember these guys? They spun off from My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult.

...and I was working in a used record store when this came in. Not only did I buy the album, I played it all day long the first day.

Cool!!! I love Alice, saw him on the Nightmare Returns tour and the one after it... the first one, we came out of the venue to cops all over downtown, mounted cops, riot cops... I have no idea what they expected after the show ended.

These guys were actually on the side stage. That was one great show

I saw them a few years ago as well, they played a medium sized club... and Jourgenson's other band played as well, Revolting Cocks and Luc van Acker was back with them as well. Very cool.

If you get the movie, I'm one of the stoned assed kids leaning over the retaining wall between the crowd and stage.

I just hung out with BOC when I was in Europe. The lead singer is my height! (who knew?) They played a decent set!

Love Alice Cooper...and my biggest regret--not seeing DIO. Rest in peace, Ronnie James.

I want to say that I don't remember this guy but there's something nagging me in the back of my head about the music. I guess in the end I'll have to say that it's not ringing a bell....

Similar situation. The Alice Cooper moment was my freshman year of HS. Third concert I ever went to. Cost $7 dammit. 2 years later, someone I knew came up to me and was like "DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE. That was fuckin AWESOME" I had no idea what he was talking about.
