I was holding that back. Does that not illustrate that those who legislate might take on legislating the "truth" ? Perhaps by the media which they LICENSE ? (well the feds but they are the same type of people)

Do ANY of you trust the government ? If you do, I would like a list of all the drugs you take, an Excel spreadsheet would do as long as your email handler can accept a file that big. Almost ANYTHING "they" say, I figure the opposite is true. I haven't bee wrong much.

Blaming Obama for the drought? FFS, why isn't this person certified and escorted to the nearest funny farm for him to while out his days harmlessly? Can he count without using his fingers? Can he tie his shoelaces unassisted? Can he eat without dribbling? Does he know which end of a fork to hold during mealtimes? Can he get to sleep without sucking on his dodo? Is he toilet trained? Does he believe that a little green man really does live on Mars?

Perhaps the most depressing (and scariest) aspect is this: I believe that Boehner occupies a position of leadership in Congress. If this infantile mind is the cream of the GOP crop, what does this say about the people who elected him their leader? One would hope that the leader is a bit smarter than the rest - what does it say about the rest of them?

Hey, I can do much better if someone comes up with some real tin foil.

But that is not bullshit. There is an argument going on right now about not allowing cloud seeding anymore over there.

Yes. Sadly you are right Peon. *sighs* Though, even collecting (and remembering) the right mix of ignorant views takes a modicum of intelligence. Not much intelligence but a smidgin of intelligence nonetheless. In this instance, there isn't any evidence that even a minimal amount of intelligence is operative.

It used to concern me that US financial policy was designed in Wall St and foreign policy designed in Likud HQ in Jerusalem, but they just might be better off under this arrangement.

Leaving it in the hands of boneheads like Boehner, Ryan & Co is a sure recipe for disaster. Who else would seriously suggest that (for instance) the way to deal with the shortfall in revenue that causes their budget deficit was to reduce taxes? Or the road to peace in the Middle East began with invading Iraq? Need I go on?

What ACTUALLY happened is a badly constructed sentence made it appear Obama caused the drought (misplaced modifier, such as "Coming around the corner, the Empire State Building greeting the newly arrived immigrants, then the tallest in the world" -- the immigrants aren't tall, and the ESB didn't walk around the corner).

The poor sentence was recalled in embarrassment and a correction sent in less than 24 hours.

I agree, it was very poorly worded. Much what people are jumping all over these days are poorly worded statements. The meaning is in the whole context.
