OP, here's what I know.

By putting this suggestion on the discussion board, that's about all that's going to happen. A discussion. The other members here have no more power to implement such an "improvement" than you do. To the best of My knowledge, none of us here hold shares in the company that owns this website. We're all guests, just like you. The house of CM isn't owned by the posters.

As far as I know, the owners get the final say on what gets implemented around here. By using the forum for your suggestion, you are not talking to the right people. You've got a better chance of that by contacting Support. See, the Mods on this side are basically dealing with TOS violations, getting threads put in the proper forum, (such as what they did when they moved your non BDSM discussion topic out of that forum to this one) and all kinds of stuff related to the collar chat side. Support tends to handle things on the profile side which is where your suggestion applies.

My best guess as to why the suggestion hasn't been implemented before, even though it's not a new suggestion? It's not really one of those "greater good" things. Not having a pro designation for profiles isn't an issue for the majority of members on CM. It applies ONLY to a portion of those searching for Dominant women. That number is a minority when compared to the total number of people on the site. For most of us, it ain't broke, so the Owner isn't going to fix it.

I am a bit frustrated with the way the search is set up.
There is no option to eliminate Pro Dommes from the search results.
Now, I'm not going on a rant about anything other than making it its own category so persons
seeking a Domme for a relationship can focus on what I'll refer to as "Lifestyle Dommes" for lack of a better term.
It would just help narrow the search for people who are seeking either one.

Until that option becomes available, if it ever does, perhaps you can narrow your search a bit more by including
Lifestyle in the Keyword section of the search box. I can't imagine many Pro Dommes having that word in their
profile, except for those occassions where one is both Lifestyle and Pro Domme, like our lovely MissImmortalPain.

Poise, honey, if it helps at all...I don't use that word in my profile. This is not a "lifestyle" to me. I have a job and I have a life. I try very hard to keep the two away from each other even if they are both kinky.

I agree it is not the pro Dommes that are a problem, even those who fail to mention it in their profile. (few)

It's the three guys in Jakarta, with fifteen ymail accounts and thirty year old bikini shots of nice girls that are the problem.

The second email lets you in on this, when the language skills in the follow ups start looking like those Liberian bank scam letters.

If you want a contact in less than a three part email exchange, perhaps these are the Dommes you seek.

slowly climbing the learning curve

additionally, do you suppose, the more profiles, the more clicks, the higher the advertising rates? just wondering[:)]

Wonder no longer. That doesn't make sense, on several levels. Leaving things as they are doesn't increase the number of profiles and advertising revenue has nothing to do with the number of profiles. They aren't billing based on pageviews or click-thrus, they sell ad space for a set number of days.
