One of many bits of material out there to illustrate why I'm not too happy about having a lot of people posting a bunch of pictures, videos and the like on forums such as this one. The wrong encounter can really ruin your day. For some posters, that sort of thing will be nothing special. For others, it can be a stomach turning experience to even read the description. I'm sort of sorry to say the one I mentioned is far from the worst out there, and yet I figure a majority of posters would be really upset if anyone were to post a screen capture. Everyone has a limit in some area, and a comfort zone. Images and video make both lines a lot easier to cross than words. That's one of the things that pissed me off about the thread with that Afghani girl that had her nose cut off. I don't post pictures of the mangled messes of flesh that people are getting used to in South America when I write about the human cost of war on drugs. I don't post illustrations of how things can go horribly wrong when someone is asking for kink advice and I think it's a good idea to be pointing out the potential complications. I don't post images of scat hotdogs. Nor do I post these things to be funny. I like to think I can get the point across without graphic imagery of either kind. If not, I can't contribute enough anyway to justify messing up someone's day. Should I want to supply the curious reader with an image, it's hardly problematic to include a link and a brief description. The converse choice by others, and tacit support from the mods, has reduced my participation here a lot. Hillwilliam has been comparatively tasteful in leaving it at a link dare. IWYW, — Aswad.
