Status: offline 		The only thing I find strikingly hilarious and fully demonstrating how partisanship is derailing our government is that Reid actually called for an audit to the Fed, but now that the legislation was put forward by a Republican he wants to prevent it even coming up for a vote.

Are you really this simple minded? Did it ever occur to you that an audit is not a universal component like a wrench? And audit looks for things specific to a concept. In this case, the audit is with regards to a highly complex and complicated set of goverment laws and mechanisms. What the audit will look at in high detail and gloss over in others could be very important to understanding whether the audit was fairly tried or not. Its no secret that several Republican and just about all the Tea Party members wish for the Federal Reserve to be destroyed. So how honest could we take their audit, given what their motives to audit the system?

The Republicans wish to audit the Federal Reserve to bend the numbers and switch the words to show the organization as a whole is corrupted, broken, and a waste of tax dollars. Their conservative minio---er---voters will not question this, since the information will be reported from 'fair and balanced' conservative media sources, like FOX News. Unlike the conservative voters, others can see Sen. Reid's actions having actual merit. We have seen these games Republicans have played in the recent past, to predict their future actions and words with fair certainty.

If you honestly believe Republicans will audit the Federal Reserve fairly and honestly, than show all the data without changes or modifications to the press at large, and not through FOX News first; By all means, present the burden of evidence!

Status: offline 		I can tell you what they want. They want real, untarnished numbers. I don't care if it implicates republicans or democrats. Clearly, 16 trillion + dollars is a lot of money and we need to see where it all went. And I agree, I'm not looking for a slanted Fox News report. For the record, I haven't watched television at all for over 5 years, but rather get my news from RSS feeds set up to get multiple sources on topics of interest. So, I'm not reading Drudge or listening to Fox to form my opinions at all.

People are tired of misconstrued numbers like the inflation rates, the employment rates...all very clearly misconstrued, and by both parties.

But typically, if you follow the trail of money, you'll find out who is up to no good.

I'm just saying it's time to clean house, on both sides and get the corruption, waste and abuse out of the system. You guys can keep the partisan crap, I want no part of it.

the fed needs to be abolished and absorbed into the treasury.

Indeed they are fucking laughable - you never said a truer word albiet unintentionally. This is a classic conspiracist strawman. No one is pretending there haven't been conspiracies (clearly there have) but rather conspiracists like R0 look for conspiracy in almost everything.
