He`s so correct.

"Mitt Romney has spent the past ten days hammering President Barack Obama for saying “Let me tell you something…if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

Unfortunately, the Romney campaign is taking Obama’s quote completely out of context by splicing together two separate parts of the president’s speech, to make Obama sound as if he was making a direct attack on entrepreneurs.

Amusingly, we have now learned that the Republican candidate himself once made a remarkably similar comment during the 2002 Winter Olympics. In his speech at the games’ opening ceremonies as their chief executive, Romney told the assembled athletes"

The soon to be released GDP numbers didn't get where they are without help either. The Obama administration will have some explaining to do. Some awful numbers on their way.

mnottertail -> RE: Mittens Tells Olympians ‘You Didn’t Get Here Solely On Your Own’ (7/23/2012 2:19:04 PM)

that would be because of the house.  the slaughter comes in november, to be sure.

The United States gross domestic product grew at an annual rate of 2.2 percent in the first quarter.

That's hardly "awful."

Certainly better than the Bush legacy --

It will be closer to 1 %  for the 2nd quarter. Were going in the wrong direction.

You mean Mitt used hyperbole kinda like someone here using the Colorado shooting and calling it as bad as compared to the 9-11-2001 attack?[8|]

Nope. Everything I've read points to a close election. We have a weak President facing a pathetic challenger.

servantforuse -> RE: Mittens Tells Olympians ‘You Didn’t Get Here Solely On Your Own’ (7/23/2012 7:12:55 PM)

Obama refused the dems pleas to come to Wisconsin to support Tom Barrett in the recall election against Walker. He hasn't been here since.

Lucylastic -> RE: Mittens Tells Olympians ‘You Didn’t Get Here Solely On Your Own’ (7/23/2012 7:26:52 PM)

55. He seems to have forgotten about Wisconsin

mnottertail -> RE: Mittens Tells Olympians ‘You Didn’t Get Here Solely On Your Own’ (7/23/2012 7:30:47 PM)

who the fuck would go to that fucked up state to support barrett, what did barrett do for obama?

Is Romney going down to support Jeb Bush?  I fuckin doubt the shit outta that.

Romney picks Pawlenty he will lose Minnesota in a big fuckin way, dont care if he offers to suck every minnesotan dry while in his magic underpants. And everything I see has it leaning heavy to obama anyhow.

Wisconsin is a swing with 10 votes, and wont be a worry until after Romney gets the party nod, and has a VP.

Then the fat will fly on both wedges of the cheeseheads.

ohh good gawd, ...
isnt his "big mistake " 57 states???? minus wisconsin, makes it 56

servantforuse -> RE: Mittens Tells Olympians ‘You Didn’t Get Here Solely On Your Own’ (7/23/2012 7:35:30 PM)

Obama didn't come here to support Barrett because he knew the recall election was a losing effort. He was a lot smarter the the democrats that spent millions for nothing. Now he will be campaigning in a red state.

That's been my take, Steve, with the edge to the incumbent, but I'm starting to think it may not be that close at all. President Obama has been burning through money, trying to define Romney in the worst possible light, and, if anything, the budge in the polls is to Mitt. The schtick has gotten old.

With this one speech, he has done a better job of defining himself negatively to the undecided voters than all the millions his campaign spent, did to put a negative shadow on Romney. Next, the Olympics, where Mitt ties right in with his successful accomplishments (you know, something on the resume) in Salt Lake. Then he can grab the media cycle again, with a Veep announcement. Then the convention, where a hell of a lot of people will finally start tuning in to the fact that there is an election in November (accompanied, no doubt, by a swarming into our little basement, for the duration), and Mitt will get a big stage to speak for himself from. He's not as oratorically gifted as the President, but he'll have an easy message to sell.

When the President steps up again, he's going to be on defense, with a slippery economy under his feet, and a record he can't run on.

I dunno, the 503 money hasnt hit yet, so much, and Obama has lotsa personal loot to burn.

It has remained actually about the same edge to obama even thru the whatever Obama administration gaffes, Willard and the magic underwear.   The Red and Blue is well settled, and the white aint going to even bother being interested until the VP pick and the convention.

there are wild swings here and there, but if you ask who would be elected today, it is 98 or 99% Obama on any given day.

This is just circle jerking at this point really, getting ready for the real shit.
