So many people say they are heroes for the idol worship (or book/movie deals) that come with it. But the real heroes are the ones that usually dont have an ego the size of Texas (or of a typical USA town). They are usually everyday people that do amazing things. Here is just one example of a Hero. The child in question suffers from autism and may not have realized the situation for what it was.

For me, it's people that without a thought for their own wellbeing or what's in it for them, put themselves in harm's way to help others.

For the first time ever, I agree with joe... Mr St. Bernard is the definition of a hero.
