{Username removed} got all "her" photos from a post in a terrible ex girlfriend nude photo site located {site name removed} . Is it ok for someone to use photos that are not clearly theirs?

Well, Honey, I expect this thread to go *poof* for blacklisting.

The only person who can report photos as not being the posters is the owner of the pictures. People take porn photos from the internet all the time. Time to put on your big girl panties and just deal.

Jezus - that site you posted is pretty lame. Reason 101 - to not let someone take compromised pics of you, because if they end up hating you - there ya go. And then to add injury to insult, have a bunch of losers make comments about it. How the HELL did you find that site?

She seemed very fake when conversing with her so I did a reverse image search on her profile photo.

Hey! That's the same site I found pictures of "hannah" on, a mere few weeks before "the 4" were outed. Must be a popular trolling ground for those creating sock profiles. Or maybe arpig is up to his old tricks. ;)

Yes but there is two big differences here. First these are firmly amateur photos and the person owning the profile is firmly insisting that it is of themselves, which is much more deceptive than using professional porno photos. Second professional porno photos were given with concent of the subject of the photos. The photos that (name removed) is using are ones that were put online despite the protest of the subject and this person is spreading images against the will of this poor girl. That is a huge difference.

It would be nice if it was just one person doing this but I fear there is probably dozens.
The downside of freedom of information is that people are free to be huge assholes with information. Sites like this make me sick but censoring is terrible too. I guess its freedom of information vs freedom of privacy.

Actually, none of the answers are correct. The site DOES care, but no longer manually prescreens individually the thousands of photos that get submitted every day. They have empowered the users to report those photos. When you have the user pulled up at the top of the screen, there is a button that is coded "report user". When you click it, you will be directed to a page that lists the verbiage in their profile, journals, etc in different parts, and a button that says "click to report this users photos". If it is not verbiage you are reporting( In which case you select the area you are reporting), you click the report photos button. After you click that button, you will have the chance to choose the photo(s) you feel for whatever reason violate tos.(stolen, primary penis pictures, copyrighted, etc). You do not have to give a reason just report them. Those pictures are manually reviewed by staff and a decision will be made on that particular picture.

Whenever I've gone back to check on pics I've reported, they've been removed.

mearly repeating what you, or one of the other mods stated in an open thread on the same subject not so long ago.

i reported someone for using an actor's photos and claiming that that the photos were of himself. i even contacted support about it, and still got no answer to my questions. in the thread it was stated that unless the actual person in the pics complained then the site wouldn't do anything because it couldn't be proved who owned the copyright of the pics, or whether the person in the pic had actually given permission for the pic to be used.

if the site has changed its stance since then then cool, i certainly hope so. if not then what i've said is true.
