I like a few songs by CS&N as a group but I find myself listening to a lot more songs just by Neil Young alone...so for me it is not a big deal but it is always sad when a group stops having concerts.

I had a thing for David Cosby when I was younger. Love their music.

Fair enough.
He's somebody else who seems long past his best of late, but when he was on I love his stuff.

Neil Young isn't past his sell by date but he is doing far too many albums, every year it seems. He should slow down a good bit and just release his best stuff.

His acoustic stuff works a lot better when it's stripped down, rather than with syrupy string arrangements piled all over it (as with Harvest).
If I had to pick out just one, though, I think I'd go for Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere. (As good as killing Danny Whitten is something else that must be held against Y, really...)

Bollocks. Nothing else to be said about the above really... [8|]

Stones? well, IMPO, they lost it after Some Girls. I have a friend who is a diehard Stones fan who saw their Lion or whatever it was called tour. Saw vid of it. Mick still prances as good as ever, but still.

Some Girls is probably their last great album. Having said that Emotional Rescue from 1980 is an enjoyable listen although clearly not a great album. Tattoo You from 1981 is probably their last decent album although Undercover from 1983 has some good moments. After that it was pretty crap. Haven't bothered with their newer stuff but Steel Wheels (1989) must surely be their nadir...

I'm not sure CS&N are much cop without Y, but word on the rest of that.

(I also love that Graham Nash is wearing a lot better than the other two thirds of that band...)

Their first album without the Neilster was their best. He was an outsider from the start - even refusing to be filmed at Woodstock.
