Being a lifelong Episcopalian, I have always been proud of the church's views on gender and sexuality. The church has often gone against the precepts of the main bodies of Christianity that forbids, banishes and ex-communicates, and instead welcomes, loves and accepts those whom others would look down upon. As a religion, We Rock!

There is no way to use it to paint the left or right as evil and it makes christians look tolerant, which seems to be frowned upon in p & r. So I'm really not surprised. Personally I wish there were more stories like this one.

TIm, I would have thought it would spark a discussion of transgenders in the church, if this was a good thing.

Every now and then something happens to make me think that the world is actually getting better. This is one of those stories. Thanks for sharing GreedyTop.
