I have zero knowledge of capybaras, but it doesn't seem like a healthy diet...

Status: offline 		Caplin died suddenly of a liver ailment. He rarely got ice lollies or cokes, he actually was a very well kept animal who got a healthy diet (plain yogurt is fine for capys). They are vegetarians, and eat hay, grass, vegetables, fruits, and guinea pig feed.

Not much is known about capybara health, which is why theROUS Foundation was started. The foundation pays for necropsies for capys, and the goal is to find out more about their potential ailments. Many die as babies, or suddenly, as Caplin did, after very brief illnesses. They are prey animals, and do not display symptoms well even when closely watched. A capy in captivity will live 12-15 years.

Did you know that guinea pigs are an 'exotic' as far as vets are concerned? I was very lucky to find a good vet for my pigs. An animal we experiment on endlessly, but don't explore the health of?
