I don't get the love of that particular car but..........we all have our distinct likes and dislikes. Cadillacs are just not appealing to me, at all. I tend more towards the sexy beasts, usually European in flair.
If I am ogling a car made by the big three, it's older and muscle.......fortunately my son is in the biz and I can get my thrills without spending the $$.
Congrats on the purchase of a dream car. I had mine once, a 59' Eldorado Biarritz convertible. A sweeter ride I will never have.
