Ummm, both United and Continental have been on my avoid list for a decade or more.

Lost baggage, left on the tarmac for hours, canceling flights right AFTER a competing airline could have made the connection.

Delta. Delta is my biggest airline hate. on the occasions my luggage has been lost..Delta. MIssed connections? Delta (and not a few times because the flight left... EARLY).

Favorite airline? JetBlue. They are just so scattered as far as destinations go, dammit.

I always liked ATA, they were great when I was looking for a job in Phoenix and was in Illinois. They were always on time, I don't check bags, and the service was great. Not sure what happened to them, heard that they may have gone under....too bad......the others could've picked up a few pointers. Otherwise, Continental seems to be okay, I've never had a bit if trouble with them, and the fares weren't too bad either.

Of course, if I can drive to where I'm going, I prefer that.....

Air Tran once took 48 hours to get me from Boston to Fort Lauderdale. The $150 I saved on my ticket was so not worth all the time I spent in the airport >_<

And of course, my luggage was missing when I finally arrived.

ATA started as a charter airline mostly for tour companies, then went into commercial service. They did great for awhile. I used them personally to commute between LA and Indy for about a year. Then when they started having financial issues, they went back to being a semi-charter for tour companies and eventually went under.

Air Tran is now owned by Southwest, although they haven't merged.

I love Jet Blue and Virgin America, but frequent travelers are all about getting their miles. You'd be surprised some of the stupid routes they'll come up with in a effort to get a few more miles.

I wish that the places I travel to/from were serviced by Virgin. *sigh*

I've been campaigning for Fiji this year. Master is not so sure. He's not really a beach person.

Fiji would be nice ;) Isn't that an AA/Quantas kinda thing, though?

I am not sure that I have the chops for a super long flight like Fiji... Hawaii about wipes me out. But Fiji looks beautiful, except for the whole Sharks Everywhere bit. (yes, I know I swim in South Florida waters...)

Air Pacific nonstop from LA. 10hours 40 minutes.

The nonstop to London is 10 hours and 20 minutes, so he couldn't use that as a fulcrum point.

Ignore that shark thing. Besides, you gloriously bask in SoFla waters :)
