Dusky, we used that before. It sometimes works for people who aren't too nosey. lol Thank you.
LP, you are right, My family's feelings mean the most, and we have talked about it. They as well as I have the notion of "we don't want to hide what we are" (of course they know when to do so). MIP, I actually do that now, except I say those are My girls, lol. I wouldn't say that I am a mommy Domme, but He is a daddy Dom and so basically their relationships have transformed Me to be so,lol.

But I like the "we are an unconventional, modern family", has a nice ring to it.

Thanks everyone, by the way for pitching ideas, ya'll have been so helpful.

That's why it *is* important.  Hey, it's totally easy for Me to say, "this is My husband".  Then what happens?  The other person wants to feel acknowledged, too.

There is a lot of, ummmm, *stuff* that goes with being poly.

Yes you are right again. Everyone around town knows the Hubs and Myself, I guess they assume the girls are our kids. But...we don't look old :(
Not the "I don't think I'm old but I really am old", we actually don't look old at all. He still gets carded for alcohol from time to time. I can't walk into the casino without them stopping Me. Which is a good thing I suppose. I like the fact that no one wants to hide things. So I'm definitely down with that.

FAST REPLY

There's a topic here somewhere, and your (generic "your") opinion of someone else's intelligence is not it.
