He will never show his 2008 returns because that swiss bank account with 3 mil on his 2009 return was probably absent and he took advantage of the amnesty in 2009 to start listing it as many many others did who had been using swiss accounts to avoid taxes till the UBS debacle. Don't you want to see if that is true? He has always resisted releasing his tax returns and never did in 2008. This year he filed an extension to avoid releasing them. if he is so proud of earning money the right way what'ss the fear? Could it be that 3 mil in swiss accounts was :forgotten" like most americans swiss accounts were previous to 2009? Or is it just he fears more embarrsement along the lines of the sudan investments or more embarrssement around his using shell companies to help Bain investors avoid paying their fair share in taxes?psst why pay uncle sam?genocide shouldnt interfere with capitalismObama is weak on Iran???Hell, at least he isnt investing there

Are you saying that he earned 3 million in interest? If he did, and deliberately didnt report it, that's tax fraud. A US citizen is obligated to report 'total worldwide income'. If he had foreign holdings, those would not show up on his tax return. The form for reporting foreign banks accounts is an information return that reflects the account information only.

This is true of all US citizens, not just liars like Romney.

One of the funnier things about the Republican massive is their insistence that while welfare is an abomination, tax fraud is basic right for anybody who's earning enough for their tax payments to put a dent in military spending. It's another aspect of that skipping out on the bill thing the Kenyan was bitching about.

The Romneys are a Michigan family, so I knew from way back that they're the quintessence of New Republicanism. It just irks me when people show they have no clue about how the tax system works. The rich have ways of hiding money that mere mortals can bit dream of. And it's all legal, because the rich back the ways & means committee...

I dont see the point in this sort of disclosure anyway. It's a given that anyone who runs as a major party candidate has many many millions to draw from. Joe the Plumber will never run for president.

Hey...little favor from a fellow board member......when you mention birth certificates or collage transcripts......you`re pigeon holing yourself......NOT in a good way.

Everybody disclosed everything required by law 4 years ago.

It is very much our business how much fucking money Romney made and paid.   Hit a little more night school and skip a couple dougnuts, its been on the books since 73.  Ask Sanity if that isn't so.


I don't give a fuck if he recieves 100% of ALL electoral votes, he doesn't release those and he cannot be president, by law.

Obama released 7 yrs of tax returns in 2008...Mitt released none. I'd be happy with just 2008 because if the swiss acount isnt listed then he was stashing the earnings illegally and took advantage of the amnesty for swiss accounts in 2009. Yea, the rish avoid taxes legally they also do so illegally and if he took advantage of a tax amnesty I have a right to know he was breaking the law. If he ddin't have a swiss account it wouldn't be a likelihood but, because he does the chances a super secure and anonymous account's interest was claimed is laughable. It's the whole reason people used swiss accounts pre UBS it's not like they had a superior return or superior safety. The sole advantage over a U.S. or German bank would be tax avoidance. Otherwise it would of been a dumbass move to seek lower returns than other banks could offer?


Lady Hibacus the point is swiss accounts were traditionally pre 2009 and UBS used solely to avoid legally owed taxes. They made bank on that and not high returns as other banks did. In 2009 the yr he released after the UBS ruling there was an amnesty on swiss accounts that had been unreported. If Mittens wasdn't reporting hsi account in 2008 he was breaking the law and used an amnesty program......DOA in Nov imo if discovered....so he won't release anything but that one yr he released in primaries a precedent unheard of for candidates. Obam the supposed s ecretive one released 7 yrs showing huge wealth. Wealth isn't an issue but tax dodging ala Nixon might be
