President Obama:

quote:

“They (Republicans) order a steak dinner and martini and then, just as you’re sitting down, they leave, and accuse you of running up the tab.”

June 12th, 2012, Baltimore, MD Speech.

White House Forgets to Pay Fathers Day Lunch Tab

quote:

...

Celebrating Father’s Day early, the president had lunch with two service members and two local barbers at Kenny’s BBQ on Capitol Hill.

As the group chatted about fatherhood, the president enjoyed a steaming plate of pork ribs with hot sauce, collard greens, red beans and rice and cornbread.

The bill for the president and his four guests was $55.58, but was left unpaid at the point of sale, according to pool reports.

Honestly. This is what you want to cling to? I'll bet they got their money.

Next you'll bitch about Obama-bots. There's plenty to criticize. How about this--get your party to have a plan.

I thought it was funny.

But I guess you can't find humor if you are an Obama-bot.

some people are too busy discussing the important things in life. Like how evil the rich repubs are and the latest elevator joke told round the water cooler.

I think its funny too, but it appears the bill was paid, and this is a political discussion forum, and it would be a end of the world great joke if the republicans paid theirs as well.

And this is funny too!!

Seriously though, how many Presidents actually TOUCH money after they're elected? Somebody else does that for them. Remember how out of touch Bush I seemed when he exclaimed over a scanner at a store (buying socks during his 2nd campaign, I think)?

Well, that's it. I can't vote for Obama. North of the Mason-Dixon there is no such thing as 'good' BBQ. That means he likes bad BBQ and I just can't vote for a man who likes bad BBQ.

I have standards and yes, I am a single issue voter when it comes to my meat.

Yes, I said meat! I will not be silenced on this issue!

Sounds like a delicious lunch and reasonably
priced for five people.

I doubt any president carries money or credit
cards on him when he goes out.

How about we use your link and show what you omitted? Yeah, what was said and what you 'editted' are two very different things. I'll put it in RED just so you can understand it:

quote:

(From same Source)
It’s like somebody goes to a restaurant, orders a big steak dinner, martini all that stuff, and then just as you’re sitting down — they leave — (laughter) — and accuse you of running up the tab. (Applause.) That’s what they do. I am not making this up. (Laughter.) I mean, press, go back, check, take a look at the numbers.

Now why is the actual version different from yours Firm? Oh that's right, because you are going for that producer job at FOX News, right? Yeah, your skills are not that good to join the Sith! In fact, you choose something that is irrelevant to make your 'point'. Which is ALSO laughable.

Just like before, I'll put in RED what you chose to forget...
quote:

(From your second articule)
Amid the bustle of President Obama’s surprise stop for barbecue Wednesday the White House apparently overlooked one key detail: the bill.

The White House corrected the oversight and settled up the tab by the end of the business day.

Take a look at that last line, Firm. Shows the White House corrected problem once it was known. A whole thread, over a petty slam and you leave out IMPORTANT information when making said slam? That's pretty low, Firm. You had to of known the material in red and hoped no one checked the information for accuracy. Sorry, but I've longed stop taking conservatives at their word. Its always proved helpful to at least check on the material for credibility. But that seems to be something your lacking Firm.

You would be quite surprised. A few months ago, Mitt Romney came to Boston, MA to renew his driver's liscense. And given presidents do get paid being a federal job (the last dozen donated to charities). And that now adays running for a presidental election costs multiple tens of millions if not hundreds of millions, its fair money a president might have a few hundred bucks in his pocket. How many pick pockets do you know that are daring enough to swipe the President's wallet? How many thugs with knives do you know that will try to accost the president give the 'army' that travels with him? Yeah, he's pretty safe carrying that kind of money on him.

Here's the Romney plan. I haven't read it yet, but I do have the infographic somewhere, for the ADD crowd. I'll post it if I can find it.

No, you were loose with the facts, omitted information, and did all in the name of bashing the President of the United States, whom you dont like. That's the real truth that you have trouble admitting to. I'm just pointing it out for the other readers/posters on here.

His numbers don't add up, unless he plans to quite thoroughly gut social safety net programs. Tax decreases, increase military spending, and giving Medicare (or Medicaid?) back to the states and give the states less money than they do now to support them.
