I think you have to be a techie and have been around techies a lot to really find it funny and understand it.

Master doesn't find it funny either. He doesn't get ANY of the comedy I like, like this show, Monty Python and Blackadder just to name a few. He's more of a The Hangover comedies type guy. Probably another reason he doesn't get it...he's never been the techie type or around a lot of them all the time to get it.

i think you have a good point there. most of my friends look at me gone out when i say a love tbbt, and say they think it's boring. like you, i think it's because they just don't understand the science and techie stuff enough, or the personalities and querks to actually get what the funny is in the program.

i'm not saying it's like that for everyone who doesn't like it, but i think it is that for alot of them.

Yeah, I agree. I think it helps if you're into all of the nerdy stuff that's mentioned in the shows. If you're not, you're definitely not going to enjoy it, or even get it. [:)]

Huge fan here too, I have all episodes and have watched all a least twice.
There are too many good parts to list , but the ball pit scene, Zazzles the cat and anything with Shellys mum in it . Amys tiara scene and and and OK I love all of them.
I have a girl crush for Bernie. Sheldon is hysterical, adorable and brilliant.
I got my mum, sisters and my pet and his wife into watching it, my kids too. I enjoy the blooper reels too on you rtube, they have one each for the first four seasons.

Addict? No, but I do enjoy the show. I did not start watching BBT until TBS picked it up in syndication since I rarely tune in to the networks. Even then for quite a while I gave it several chances and I thought it was stupid and didn't get the attraction. One day it just clicked and I have been watching it ever since. I am quite surprised that they have been able to keep Sheldon's Mensa-ish character funny and fresh for 5 seasons without over doing it.

I recall watching the show with my mother one day and she said "What's sad is there are actually people like that." My instant reaction was "Bitch, I'M like that!" Star wars, comic books, videogames and long talks about science and the universe as a whole, I love it all!

Love it. I know the real life versions of these characters and sometimes am one. As a warning to all those out there: If you get the "soft kitty" stuffed animal DO NOT let the "kids" know about it. I had to listen to the high pitched sound of you girls murder the soft kitty song for almost a month before they forgot about it.

Actually, I kind of agree. I watch it now because I have a love for the characters. But I recently saw some very early episodes and it was much better. There is an awful lot of pathetic-ness that I don't think needs to be there. It's just a touch over-the-top with it...they've played that up a lot more than they used to.

But in the end, it is still one of my favorite shows on TV. I'm faithful that way.
