It is said that a human digests up to 8 spiders a year. OMG! FILTHY CREATURES!

I think that's an urban myth: two or three spiders tops.

Apparently, the story is turning out to be a hoax.

Beetles, moths, insect larvae, etc, now that's another story.

Well, you can avoid a lot of that by cutting down on the chocolates...

hey hey Hibbie,

don't forget i live in the uk. so as natural spiders go i think the wolf spider is our biggest. some of them do not fit under a pint glass without having to curl their legs though. but as i also have greek blood in me i reckon that somewhere in my evolution by nuture means that i was programmed to be very scared of spiders.

as for eating them in my sleep.....i'm hoping that an up side of my insomnia is that i eat far less than others lol

Wow those are just tiny... really, the UK seems astoundingly safe for venturing outdoors. No large predatory animals, only little spideys... what's the snake sitch? We only have copperheads and northern rattlers here in Michigan, and they are fairly limited.

we have only two natives, harmless grass snakes, and then the adder, which is venomous, but nothing major to worry ably unless maybe you are a small dog. we really are lucky on the killie bitie things here. it doesn't stop my fear of the spiders though.

we do have some glow in the dark escapee scorpions in london somewhere too. still tame by most standards though lol

The only thing that gives me nightmares are clowns. Creepy fuckers. I mean the big noses, and the hair is just...way over the top.

I really, really REALLY hope it is a hoax. Soooooo very much hoping to hold on to the idea it is a hoax. Spiders ARE stuff of my nightmares.

Honestly, I was HORRIFIED to learn there were spiders so big. Such things absoultely MUST have slipped free from some freakish dimension, because they can't possibly exist naturally in my world.
