PainMasterOne -> Collarme (6/5/2012 1:02:14 AM)

Notice there is nowhere on this website where you can contact the people who run it. They just removed pics from my profile saying they were copyrighted despite my stating I took them myself of another member and can prove it, but there's no way to prove it to people who refuse to accept any mail. Won't surprise me if they completely delete my entire profile. Lookout folks, you could be next!

myotherself -> RE: Collarme (6/5/2012 1:04:43 AM)

Yes you can contact them.

On the front page (where you get the profiles), scroll right down to the bottom and you will see the word 'contact'. Click that and send a message.

RemoteUser -> RE: Collarme (6/5/2012 6:03:49 AM)

I haven't heard of anyone being deleted without several warnings being issued first citing the parts of TOS that were violated. Kind of like a safeword; you ignore it enough times and you don't get to play again.

myotherself pointed you in the right direction, she's cool like that.

Welcome to the forums.

Welcome

OohAahMrs -> RE: Collarme (6/5/2012 7:09:35 AM)

Welcome pain, i've never come across that before, but just persevere, try a few more pics, it will come right.

At the bottom of virtually every page on the other side is a link to SUPPORT. You can also click here: http://www.collarme.com/personals/support.htm

Please remember that there are real people working on the other side (well, this side too). When your photos look like they are taken from INSEX or other well-known porn producers, it is not unreasonable to expect that one of the staff may make a mistake now and then.

PainMasterOne, this is PainMasterTwo....over.

Roger, out.

PainMasterTwo

This is Ground Control to PainMaster One...

Nah, I can't get the tune right.

PainMasterOne -> RE: Collarme (6/5/2012 4:43:55 PM)

I found the link after much searching and wrote a letter to which I still haven't received any reply, positive or otherwise. I reposted three pics taken by me of the same girl with her permission and told her what had happened. Those same pics were even in her OWN profile both on CM and FL.

outhere69 -> RE: Collarme (6/5/2012 4:49:12 PM)

Barely any time's gone by. Did you expect an immediate turnaround?

LadyPact -> RE: Collarme (6/5/2012 4:57:43 PM)

After much searching?  Not exactly the observant type, are you?

It occurs to Me that you just revealed your problem.  The site isn't going to jump to the conclusion that a certain picture is owned by both parties unless they know they are joined in some way.  I don't know your situation or what was provided, but please accept something.  These people get THOUSANDS of pics reported each day.  The staff (volunteers) are few and the complaints many.  It wouldn't be that difficult to make their job easier.

I don't know what you had pulled.  If they were anything like your avatar, I've got a similar one on My profile that has been there for years.  I've never had a complaint.

littlewonder -> RE: Collarme (6/5/2012 5:04:32 PM)

Dude, you may call yourself a Master but ain't no one else gonna see you as one here. lol

It has been less than 24 hours and the support staff are volunteers.

I would imagine that before responding to you they are checking into seeing what happened, how it happened and are working on a resolution.

If you want instant results, you could watch I dream of Jeanie reruns. [;)]

Be patient and perhaps realise that yours was likely not the only request to support that they have had today.

LafayetteLady -> RE: Collarme (6/5/2012 7:24:48 PM)

Isn't there also a rule about posting pictures of other people in your profile?

I'll try to help with this just as another member here.  Hold on.  Let Me put up this disclaimer so nobody takes My word as gospel.

Lady Pact's opinions are Her own.  They do not necessarily reflect those of the site and it's owners.  If She's wrong, and somebody listens to Her instead of doing their own research, well, it sucks to be the type who doesn't read TOS.

<cough, cough, changes composure, cough>

(By the way, LL.  That wasn't directed at you except general reply.)

There used to be this part of TOS that said members could post pictures on the site to represent their profile.  The pic had to be of themselves or one they had taken themselves.  Also, there was this blurb about intellectual property, etc.  This should have been enough to keep everybody happy because it allowed for all kinds of angles.  A pic of the person, a play pic that a top might want to show off their work, outdoor pictures snapped by those who like photography......

Before CM became so big, pictures were able to be reviewed before they were approved.  That job just became too large.  Even in the five years that we've been here, the place has expanded and the very few people doing this just can't do the workload.  Each account can have multiple pictures, by so many accounts a day, plus all of the pic changes that current members make.

Now, they rely on reports for manual review.  That's still a huge workload.  Some members expect these volunteers to do shitloads of investigating, researching, googling, and use of tineye, etc, to make sure their sensibilities aren't offended in some way.  In other words, somebody probably reported the pic if it was removed.

Hopefully, somebody just got the hint.

Not if they're willing. I have a pic that shows me, Greedy, and GOFkat.

And it's a great picture. :)

LafayetteLady -> RE: Collarme (6/6/2012 12:59:22 AM)

That's what I remember from the TOS, although I was under the impression that the person had to have permission as well (although I realize that is not exactly something that can be checked, lol).

I know that I do report profiles/pictures when the primary picture is not of the person with the profile.  Tends to be common with some male dominants, to post pictures of (I assume) previous partners in whatever position the dom thinks will appeal.  I haven't figured out why they don't seem to realize most of us women don't really want to look at their ex, lol.

But it isn't your primary picture, and they are members here as well, with you all in the picture together.

Permission can be a hard issue to pin down.  I would have to think that most people would say they had permission or they were the photographer.  That's easier to believe when both (or more) parties frequent the forums.  Case in point, MP's main profile pic is of the two of us.  For year's, clip's was as well.  With Me being here on the forums, it's pretty easy to figure out if it's a problem.

I happen to have a pic on My profile that is a fire play shot.  The person's face is not visible, but a few people on the site know that person's identity.  I am also in the shot and wearing the same corset as in My primary pic.  I've always had the other person's permission to post that pic and could verify it quite easily.  It wouldn't be difficult to have that other person write Support to say I have their consent.  Or, I could just point the powers that be to the Positive Experience thread about it.  [:D]

I do hear what you are saying though.  I'm sure some men are just showing off their work and others just grab a shot of a hot chick.  I think women on the site tend to believe it's usually the latter and most men don't know what a turn off that becomes.
