This is just a really cool video on the making of high quality kitchen knives. I've known the process for decades already, but THIS GUY takes it to a whole new level and makes it an art.

....btw I don't think too many of you will be placing an order anytime soon.....just sayin'

Enjoy...

That guy makes an ok knife.

For serious knives you buy from Japan

What is really impressive, if talking kitchen knives, is the films of the hand forging of Sakura knives in Japan.

OH KNIVES! I keep quite a collection.
Have the Fang Dagger from Dusk til dawn
have a claymore I call Possum Killer
and my broad sword
and I keep a Bowie knife by my bed for self defense
and then I have the Armory in a plastic bin full of knives and daggers and what not that my ex wife gave me.
and I keep a lock back in my glovebox
and a multi tool

Gibbs rule #9 Never go anywhere with out a knife!

More knife fun

Never buy a knife that isn't full tang. If you buy one that isn't your in for a world of hurt. Full tang means that the blade is fully integrated with the handle. Half tang is about half way up the handle and if its no tang that is a piece of shit I wouldn't wish on a broke dick dog.

When buying a knife consider the blade, is it sharpened or not, is it hollow ground, flat, sabre? is it machine ground or hand. what is the knife made out of. I personally like 550 stainless steel that's the stuff that they use to make jack hammer bits out of.

What I would consider the perfect knife???
Nice 550 stainless steel flat hand ground, damascus steel full tang, perfectly balanced with a black ebony handle.
