In 8th grade Sister Mary Elephant banged my head against the wall in the hallway of the junior high wing several times because I came to school wearing black nail polish. (Apparently doing so summons the devil.) All my classmates in the 7th and 8th grades were in the doorways of their classrooms, watching. It wasn't the best day. It's difficult to maintain composure in such a situation, you know?

hmmm.... i remember the whole class having to balance books on our heads and wiggle our hips as we walked...

I also remember my art teacher throwing all my supplies in the bin calling them rubbish... He fished them out ten minutes later when I refused to retrieve them. He was an arse... Was more than willing to help you if you happened to bear a mild resemblence to Steffi Graf though...

I don't recall any of these sorts of things happening where I went to school.

We had surprisingly good teachers but some horrendous classmates. They were the ones doing the evil things and everyone feared them because they were little psychopaths. Probably they are really successful psychopaths now, as is life.
