Selling domination is the same thing because if you only are dominant when someone pays you then youre not really dominant, you just pretend to be for money and not because its what you are. Its two fakers faking being dominant and submissive together as a business transaction.
Then you have the aspect of a dominant person abusing their posistion as the dominant in order to make money. The word dominant being key here, the person who supposedly makes all the decisions, is the leader, the advisor and basically the boss is the one who is demanding money. Its easy to justify youre posistion when youre leading and easy to justify your means to yourself because humans have the built in desire to never consider themselves less than they imagine they are despite the reality of it. A pro domme will never consider herself a whore even if she plainly is because her mind will do all the mental gymnastics it requires in order to paint themselves in the light they wish.
Then you have the problem of the internet because all it takes is person a (women paticullarly can do this very easily) is to go on a forum, present themselves in the light they wish to be viewed in and paint themselves as the victim and others will rush to their side to blindly defend them like zealots. And when you get enough of them together they are impenetrable to any and all reason or doubt because they feed on eachother for strength. So that just solidifies the pro dommes perception that she isnt just a hooker selling sexual (and yes even if intercourse isnt there its still sexual in base) and psychological (again in a sexual realm way) release in a personal manner for money.
Im not saying you shouldnt be a pro domme, thats your choice but you have to except the fact that people who see you as what you are will let you know. While the others who romanticize it out of reality will support you, but to the people who see you as damaging to what bdsm really is they are going to speak their mind. If you cant deal with that then perhaps you should remove your profile and either be a real domme or find a new way to make money.
Pretending to be a domme for money is a prostitute because you will only do it for money. Whats worse is pro dommes wont even pay attention to someone without money, which somehow even more pretentious, smug and worse. Not to mention lying to people for money is one of the laziest ways you can make money, and yes you lie to men for money because you wont be dominant without money so that means youre not a dominant so they have to pay you to pretend you are which is lying to your customer.
But then again I dont expect much considering the baffling amount of "Hey look at me" threads I see even in the off topic section which is supposed to be off the topic of bdsm yet is full of bdsm posts all saying "Look at me, come on in and give me attention as Im an attention whore". There are a surprisingly few amount of actual conversations on these forums, its just people talking AT eachother instead of WITH eachother.

So you say they should be mature yet you have to publicly bolster your self esteem on a forum? Wouldnt a mature person just overlook it, go on and pay no mind to it?
Or is this a "rallying the troops" kind of post where in people will post something negative about themselves someone else points out but with a spin that makes them seem like they are the proverbial babe in the woods just to get others to join their cause and support them so they feel justified? Because I mean honestly, the point of posting this is severely lacking in purpose.
So again, a real mature person would have put the person on ignore and gone about their business. Which you did not do, so you wanting maturity out of them is hypocritical. So maybe next time instead of a "LOL anti prodomme email!" you could just delete it and ignore and be mature enough to walk away.
Knowing the immaturity though of this place dont bother posting back to me on here. I wont be back to read it.
So how do you feel about lawyers, doctors and anybody else who provides a service? They all exploit people?
I sure hope you don't work for money, because according to your logic it would make you a prostitute too.
