Status: offline 		I put this here instead of health & safety because I want to ttalk about the mental stuff not the danger.

I have a new playmate who for want of. A better term is a stomach fetishist. All about the abdominal tortures. He was a cutter from puberty (he is 34 now) and this whole thing is a big part of his sexuality.

I am not a cutter, and none of the sutters I've met eroticize it to this level. Can anyone share some experience or insight into this? Let me say that he is way past the cutting range and into serious geek-act piercing.

Thanks for any help. I'd like to help him redirect this energy into something a little more mainstream and less potentially deadly.

Status: offline 		I'm not really sure what you are asking, Hib.  Is it that you are not interested in cutting him or is it because of where he wants to be cut?  Could you work with needles or medical staples?

I want to know if anyone else eroticizes their cutting, or is it what I'm used to, a tool for releasing stress/depression. He wants to be able redirect his very extreme urges (which I am not going into here) into something else.

What else? I don't know. More tradtional s/m? Not sure. Which is why I'm hoping to hear from someone else who's a cutter.

Status: offline 		i enjoy my Mistress cutting me very much. i think one thing that could help is a electro cautery pen. it is batery operated and it gently burns the skin at the surface and would give the feeling of deeper cutting and would be temporrary. another would be to use a tens unit and a small surface area implement to give the feeling of cutting with out actual cutting the skin. a good item to start with would be a pie server (metal) and play with that on the flat it is very mild on edge it is very intense feeling like cutting. of course both need to have reasearch done on them before trying them out. any questions just ask i am more than happy to help.

My best friend's girlfriend/domme is a hardcore maso who used to cut herself because she wanted/needed the endorphin rush. Once she discovered S&M, she stopped cutting herself and let other people do knife, blood, fire, and needle play on her instead. It's become a routine part of their sex life. If she doesn't get her maso on, she gets cranky.

Seconded. I know a chick whose story is the same-if she goes too long without being brutalized, she'll relapse into cutting.

Uhm, worked in that field, my experience is only with teenagers and people in their early 20's, most of the info is on an old HD back home, but shoot me a PM, I (unfortunately) know quite a bit about this field, with a lot of people who practise SH they tend to eroticize it or turn it into something romantic, there is a good chance that you might be able to help him turn it into something else but it's not a one fits all because SH is not really the problem (though even deadly) the real problem is the underlying issue.
