Boiled turnips and cabbage for dinner and fresh peaches for dessert would clear those little fuckers out.

Aren't having enough problems with a turnip already on another thread? Try 17 ears of corn instead.I know a guy that ate 17[yes...17!] ears in one day.He spent most of the next day visiting the one holer outhouse. He provided amusement for the ones watching from the farm shop across the pasture as he went back and forth from his house to the outhouse.

I walked barefoot in the snow, 2 miles, uphill in both directions to get to school!

Oh, wow, such hardship. Try going uphill FOUR miles each way on ICE. With 50 pounds of branches and 100 feet of twine. When we got to the school we had to lash all the branches together with the twine, and that was our schoolhouse. We did that every day except 4th of July. 4th of July people came from all over the holler to the Flat Spot where we boiled up some roots and gigged some frogs for a real country buffet. Come dark we'd take sticks and get the ends burnin' and then we'd throw 'em up in the air and sparks would come off them sticks just like real sparklers. It was good cause we knew we wuz free unlike them commies in France.

Okay, let's see if I can make this easier.

A "sticky thread" is one that remains on the top of the thread list, regardless of posting activity. Unlike the other threads, which move to the top each time a new comment is added, a sticky thread never moves. So...if you go to the top of any section of the forum, you'll find one or more threads that might have no recent comments, or perhaps no comments at all. Usually they have to do with guidelines, or recommendations, or just misc info from the mods. If nothing changes, those threads will still be there a year from now, while this thread will have migrated down several pages.

They are "sticky" in that the stick to the top. In no way do they resemble a sticky note. The term has to do with the fact that they adhere to the top of the thread stack...unable to move or cycle downward.

Thanks. Now I get it. The way Ron was going on I thought I should see something that looked like a post it note. I didn't know the mod threads (that's how I thought of them) had their own name.
