Thanks to EVERYONE who responded.
I approached my ex about keeping my son during during summer months last December. She came up with changes to the parenting plan that would work for her and I paid my attorney to draw it up, I accepted EVERYTHING she wanted and it was pretty reasonable.
Just before we go to file, I get a letter from her attorney saying she's no longer willing to make any changes. My attorney calls her attorney and the story is that she fears I'm going to flee the state with him. WTF?????
I dropped it and kept status quo, she hasn't spoken to me since.
2 weeks ago I get a text asking if I'd be willing to keep him 5 days a week every week. My answer was YES.....I WANT MY SON. Lets change the parenting plan.
Again, no response. My son asked last night why he can't stay with me this summer. I did my best to explain it to him without drawing him into the conflict, but I told him "mommy and daddy have to go to the judge saying 'we want this change' for it to happen. I've been trying to get this for 6 months, but mommy won't do it."
I've contacted the minister of her church (which I used to go to) and asked her to attempt to mediate this. It's OMG insane and pisses me off because it leaves my son constantly in limbo.
