I don't think they are scary or evil. I just find them very annoying. They try to force peope to laugh and I don't like to be forced to do things. That is why I hate them.

of course you dont like to be forced, but I dont see the forcing really. They try just like a comedian tries. Maybe it's the make up. Anyway I remember some damn funny slapstick clowns from when I was young. Maybe I am old.

FR: When I was younger, we had a young guy in a jester's hat riding a skateboard flash in front of our car headlights on a very dark night. Someone in the car asked, what was that? Without missing a beat, I replied, "Some clown..."

I think Pennywise is the main reason that people are afraid of clowns. And just think, kids now-a-days has no idea who Pennywise is. SCARY!!!

Come on, they're a great punk band, nothing to be afraid of

Well, I know I'm old. But I remember lots of times clowns tried to make me laugh and when I didn't they just wouldn't drop it and move on. Most of them just keep bugging you until you either fake a laugh and a smile or do what I normally do....tell them if they don't get away from you that you will stab them.

General Reply:

Did you all know that there is an international clown registry where the specific clown makeup can be sort of trademarked? They paint the face on a blown out egg shell. There are purportedly tens of thousands...now that would be an interesting room...
