I am gonna fully attribute this to CM for pointing me in the direction of my local "public" community.

Thanks all for pointing me in the right direction. We went to our first munch today after 8 years of "hibernating" and I am so happy we went!
The local group (so far) is very nice and welcoming and I am excited and looking forward to continuing to meet new folks to hang out with and get to know.
I remember how close Mr and I got to some of the folks in the community before we moved away and lost touch (it happens) and I hope to develope some good friendships and relationships here as well.

Thanks again to those that took the time to respond to my posts asking for help finding local like minded folks, you really have done a good thing ;)

We actually went to the local public playspace later Saturday evening after the munch and let me just say *WOW* Not only am I impressed with the space itself, but it is really well run, the people there were friendly and nice, and I am not nearly as out of practice as I thought I was hehe
Fun time had by both me and Mr, we will absolutely be going again ;)

there's some perhaps unintentional capriciousness in how threads are handled, and mods screw up sometimes too, so don't take it as personally directed to you or your thread.

i haven't read that forum's guidelines, but perhaps positive experiences are focused on some other types of aspects, like i tried this or that BDSM or kink thang, and it was helluva fun!

edit - or specifically, for other collarme members you have met IRL.

I think positive experiences is referring to meeting people from cm.

But where ever the post is, it's good news and I am glad you had fun. I haven't been to a munch in a while and after reading this I think it's time for me to get out more.
