Simply because I wish to protect my right to privacy, am I breaking any TOS? I dont feel I should have to disclose any details about myself that I do not wish too.

This is my philosophy:

I believe that until a person gets to know me they have no right to know anything about me even then I am an extremely private person so what people will find out about me is limited. For those interested you must ask yourselves..Am I really from Washington D.C.? As for my profile picture, I choose not to include one of myself not because I am hiding something, but because I feel its no ones business what I look like except my own and those I choose to provide a picture for. After all until you get to know me, all of you are strangers.

Any help on this is appreciated. Thank you.[:)]

I don't believe so. If you live in Baltimore and say you're from DC, most of the suggestions you'll get will be helpful in terms of rl groups to attend.

Even if you live in DC and say you're from San Francisco, you aren't conning anyone out of anything. In such a case, the only person to lose out would be you, because no suggestions would actually be of use.

Lots of us are in small towns and say we're from the biggest city nearby. You are not required to out yourself in any possible way.

Tell people what ever the hell you want - and dont tell them what you dont want to tell them. Its your life. You can do what you want to with it.

If they dont like your responses - then Im sure they will move on. Its up to you how you want to conduct yourself with other people. And whatever consequences it yields - well it was by your own doing.

No, that's fine. I currently live in "The Forums." I've lived in the Faroe Islands also. However, I moved back to the US from the Faroe Islands, because I ran into a problem: I sent an email to someone I had corresponded with before, and my message ended up in the bulk folder, because I was outside the United States.

It depends if you want to be found, and if you want to be approached by people who live locally to you. If you do, and you live in a tiny town, I'd suggest choosing a location that is the nearest major metropolitan area to you. Then if you're corresponding with someone you like, you can always be more specific.

I asked if it was against the Terms Of Service. Being proud and protective of my privacy yeilds no consequence. I simply wanted to know if putting a location other than where I am at is against The Terms Of Service. That is all. I also don't pay attention to any inappropriate language. So please do not use any in my presence. Thank you.

You didn't break the fucking tos by protecting yourself. However, your attitude most likely didn't impress anyone. In fact, I do believe you got a couple of chuckles. I need no inspiration to fucking speak inappropriately... as most everything I say is appropriate, but even if it weren't, I'd do it anyway.

If you live in Rat's Foot, South Dakota, population 3, that might be a legit concern, but not if you live in Los Angeles.

Seriously, as long as you don't:

1. Give contact info in your profile
2. Show pics of children or animals or illegal activity
3. Reference illegal acts in your profile
4. Show nude genitalia as your main pic

Then you're not violating TOS.

OP, puh-leeeeeze...if you want to find out if you've violated the TOS. here's an easy way to find out......READ THEM!!!!!! Just sayin'.
