Heavy impact play! Tl;dr: What are your experiences and tips about baseball bat play and other heavy impact toys? I've only used a baseball bat, but billy clubs, hockey sticks, etc., are in a similar category. These are items used by sports or law enforcement that are intended to make potentially bone crushing impact, and our goal is to pervert them into sextoys that provide the Ultimate Thudding Experience. Like suspension or fireplay, I think this is a skill you absolutely need to learn hands-on, because there is almost zero margin for error. I'll say a few things about it to satisfy the curious, but this is no way should be taken as a how-to guide. If you want to know how to, find a real live human being who is willing to show you. 1. "Baseball bat" can mean a lot of things. Padded aluminum bat is my weapon of choice, because it's enough of a bat to be serious as hell, but the likelihood of breaking a bone is fairly low. I've seen one person scene with a Louisville Slugger. Not a toy I'd be willing to use unless the bottom was athletic as hell. 2. ...which brings me to the state of the bottom's back, ass and thighs. Those are going to be the main targets, and they need to be moderately muscular, or at least decently padded. If your sub is petite and frail, this isn't your gig, except for the fear factor. 3. Hit the body the same as if you're using a badass flogger. Shoulders, buttocks, thighs. Don't cross the spine, don't strike the kidney area. Impact to the shoulder needs to be parallel with the body, not across both shoulders. 4. Bruises. The bottom will have bruises for days, anywhere you hit with any force. This is the opposite of "don't leave marks." You both need to be ok with this. 5. If the bottom is into thudding, you can develop a rhythm, especially on the buttocks, and keep it going for some time. The impact sound is especially satisfying, and it makes some women wet. 6. Aftercare is critical here. You need to be sure your bottom has full range of motion after resting for a bit. So, questions to the group. What are your own experiences? Agree/disagree/want to add to what I've written? Other nonstandard heavy impact, edge play toys?

OK. I've never used a baseball bat. I do happen to have this large paddle that must be swung like a Louisville slugger. I need both hands even to swing it. Pretty hot though.

I love love love a foam baseball bat.. looks scary and packs a wallop (sp?) ... its been awhile since I've used one.. current partners are not into it.. butI enjoy it.. I dostick to the ass using it horizontally and vertically on the back... for me, I'm abit more careful using a bat on someone's back... but I love it

I have a proper baseball bat in the trunk of the car. I also have a mini louisville slugger! I have this thing for riot gear, but we won't get into that... [;)]

There's a regular (sub) poster here who used to scene with a wiffle bat (hollow plastic bat for those unfamiliar). I've never used one myself, but that might give you some of the impact noise while not being as heavy for your partners. If anyone has experience with wiffle bats, I'd be very interested, btw.

I love love love heavy thuddy play. a very very heavy flogger swung as hard as possible is my preferred wrap up for a session. or any other simularly hard play. I have played with foam wrapped bats and pipes, but never with any that weren't wrapped, except for the wiffle ball type, and that's all sound and fury. How much is the foam creating a safe barrier, and how much is it changing the play, btw? OT- I know someone (I don't remeber who, doesn't matter, maybe several people) recently told a newcommer who was being a newb that usually posts are questions, but I really like it when people post teasties to get a topic started by sharing their knowledge or opinions. Makes for a good, lively forum. I came back here because my local forum is glacial.

I have something useful I can share about baseball bats. Slice a section out of it and it makes a great paddle that won't break. I have broken a lot of paddles in my days but I think 'Obey My Wish' bat will last forever. It's more sting than thud but it leaves nice impact style bruises. Mine is a 3/8 inch slice of a softball bat. Truly an awesome long paddle. If you're poly, you can spank two at once with it. After "thud work" there's the possiblity of anal play / insertion. (Insertion before hitting is a bit messy) Myself? I didn't insert baseball bat into bottom, but have seen it done by top that was "ready" and EAGER bottom.... They started with frigging hot, Hot, HOT hitting scene, then insertion..... My authentic police billy club had to have a bit of sanding to remove a nasty edge along length. Now? "Smooth as silk." Uniform fantasy, boy strips, and gets frisked - enclosed parking lot, you see. Auto dealership with security guard. Billy club on throat - WHOA! Watch that breathe play, Mister! DAMN! That did happen - but only once! Friend (the guard who had said "Sure, I don't care, just keep it down on noise.") was FREAKED by what I did. LOL! I would like to make a suggestion, though this isn't my thing... I used to practice Kendo, the Japanese art of the sword, and our practice weapon was called a Shinai. It is essentially a sword made of four pieces of bamboo. For exercises, we would use a Bokken, which was a wooden practice sword you couldn't use for actual sparring as it was about as lethal as the Katana... Anyway, if you hit someone with a Shinai, it will leave welts, but not break bones. Trust me, you will REALLY feel it though. OTOH, the bamboo is flexible, and the sword is designed to shift and spread impact, so it is a safe way to really bruise someone I think. OOOOH, OOOH, I know this one! Waves hand frantically in air ........ahem, anyway.... frequently he uses a plastic bat,(no holes in it, just hollow plastic) Bought it for a quarter at a yard sale. Stingy and thuddy at the same time. We refer to it as the Blue Bat of Pain (the B-BoP) He can swing it pretty hard, makes me yelp! Makes the surface red and swollen, and one or two days later lots of bruising appears.

You know, the GM at the school I go to said that when he was a kid in Korea the masters would beat them with the bamboo sword if they were goofing off. Yikes. So, I'm sure you'd be safe doing it to a consenting adult.
