I went with "We should have global justice equality and human rights."

Whether that is possible or how we go about bringing that about is an entirely different matter.

Owner59 -> RE: DoubleDip (4/11/2012 7:26:49 AM)

I`ll go with what ever Mitt`s Money says........

Right now?

Mitt`s money likes Europe.

Ya know.......some of them Eurpes speak good American.......[8D]

I have no opinion on the euro either way......other than it`s pretty money.

MrBukani -> RE: DoubleDip (4/11/2012 7:31:20 AM)

The Euro is the biggest contender to the dollar.
You must have an opinion on a competitive currency.
Oilprices are still based on dollars.
But for how long?
And is it gonna hurt the dollarbillrights?
yaknow?[8|]

I got more votes then replies lol.
keep em comin!

tj444 -> RE: DoubleDip (4/11/2012 7:32:48 AM)

what i think is that i hope the Euro survives (& thrives), the US dollar needs a counterbalance of some sort..

Well,I want all economies to grow and do better.Even our/my competitors.

And the dollar`s bill of rights will never be challenged..........not in a thousand years.........if the 1% have a say in it.

So I tend to my little plot and live within my means and hope world leaders do the same.

MrBukani -> RE: DoubleDip (4/11/2012 7:59:05 AM)

You know we have people in Holland who can't point out Holland on a euromap? That's sad.
That's even worse then being illiterate or an-alphabetic like we (edit-dutchies) say.
What's it like when you don't know where you live in this world?

I just wonder. It's a lot of american here.
I mind bout my mexicans and greeks and turks.
Indian and chinese.
I like the united nations but the euro cost us dutchies too much.
Right now
We would make it tenfold back if it works.
The dutch multinationals
like heineken scored a fortune already.

mnottertail -> RE: DoubleDip (4/11/2012 8:10:49 AM)

My choice wasn't there.   It is good for the US (sorta) in the short term, we can borrow money at the lowest interest, because comparatively, we look like a stable safe-haven.

The bad news, is our bubble must end someday as well.

MrBukani -> RE: DoubleDip (4/11/2012 8:12:49 AM)

I can still edit the poll say your choice and I work it in.

mnottertail -> RE: DoubleDip (4/11/2012 8:16:59 AM)

Cameron puts Cabbage on St. James' velvet toilet in the Abbey, and on BBC she says to the EU....'You have our permission to bugger off'.

That toilet is going to flush.

MrBukani -> RE: DoubleDip (4/11/2012 8:20:00 AM)

Half that sentence I can put in a poll.[:D]

Or was the choice

Flush?

Yeah......those with the most money tend to be expected to give more into the pot.

Not sure leaving the UN is the answer ,though.

What takes it`s place is surely will not be gentler or kinder.

Are you sure you're from Europe? These choices don't reflect much understanding of the vast differences among member states financial situations/decisions.

I'm from Holland.
We gave you the founding fathers.
New Amsterdam(NY to be exact Manhatten we sold you for one guilder/dollar and we got Surinam in return. Best deal we ever made.)
and Santa.

What do you suggest?

MrBukani -> RE: DoubleDip (4/11/2012 9:05:31 AM)

OK.

"More time and attention needs to be paid to structural deficits before combing currencies and economic interests"

kdsub -> RE: DoubleDip (4/11/2012 11:41:17 AM)

Unpopular view here. I also want the economy to stabilize in Europe because if not the dumbshits on wall street will panic and throw us all into a depression….BUT

We here in the US are bad enough and certainly not an economy to put on a pedestal but at least we understand you can’t haphazardly provide entitlements that your economy cannot support.

We love to provide our war machine with entitlements our economy can‘t support.

If everyone stepped back and would forget the liberal verses conservative world debate they would see the folly of free healthcare and social supports that are locked in without the ability to adjust as needed.

Before the late 60s I would have agreed with that statement. Now I think the EU is following our lead on this. Perhaps we should stop referring to public largess as entitlements.
