ORIGINAL: Hillwilliam I think if he was incredibly concerned about his daughter, he wouldn't have entered the race in the first place. I hate to think the worst of people but I have a feeling he is using her as an excuse. It's difficult to disagree with you HW. I can't him quitting had he been leading the polls in the PA primary, can you? That said, I'm so glad he's gone. He was an ignorant scary bigoted self righteous creep. The only negative is that his departure from centre stage isn't likely to be permanent Are you referring to the way the Republican party nominates the top guy who "stepped down for the good of the party," in the previous primary in each successive election? I think that is a myth, otherwise they would have picked McCain in '08 and Romney in '12... oh wait... Crap, well, we will see what Santorum '16 looks like. Almost makes me want to vote for Romney, since after 8 years of a Democrat as Pres, the people will probably elect any Republican, remember the fiasco they picked after Clinton???
