MoGA, being relatively knew here I don't really know you, but please accept my sincere best wishes as you go thru this.  Having been thru some breakups in my life as well, I certainly understand the sense of loss and the time it takes to get past it.

One thing I have always tried to do, even with a nasty breakup, is try to retain all that was good in the relationship.  It was a part of my life and nothing will ever change it, but dwelling on any hurt, disappointment, etc, is not something to carry forward.  It may be too soon for you to do this, yes, it does take time - but keep all of the happiness as memories you can take with you as part of a rich life.  Cherrish the time you did have together, rather than regret its no longer there.

And I do agree that there is not the same support network for Dom/mes, there does seem to be the assumption of strength that implies its not needed.

I wish you well.

As far as why I cant call him, I really cant say. Let me just say that the line has been drawn in the sand by a higher power than myself and leave it at that.

Are you trying to hint that he's a guest of the government or was he chasing cars too closely and got run over?

lol no nothing that dramatic.

Yeah but you know you got a visual of a chained pup chasing cars...didn't you. He he

They may say "If you can't master your own emotions, how are you to master me?"

Hello A/all,

I make this comment, although the approach I use is.

"Why do you consider yourself "Dominant" when you cannot even control yourself?"

A person who gets upset and goes and cries and grieves in the other room until they recover and feel better and then move on and does other things is dealing with their emotions in a positive manner.

A person who beats their submissive half dead, kicks their pet, climbs into a clock tower and shoots college students, etc, because they are upset is not dealing with their emotions in a positive manner.

But then, I do not believe that "mastery of emotions" is a person who doesnt have any.  I believe that mastery of emotions is found in the mental state where a person accepts they have emotions, deals with them, but does not allow them to control their actions.

As Peyton Quinn once wrote "Either you are in control of yourself, or somebody else is."  (Bouncers Guide To Barroom Brawling)

Just me, usual caveats, etc.

Yes I can understand why a submissive would be leery of someone who can not control their actions, or lets their emotions control their actions. But I was talking about "Mastering our own emotions" I suppose it could be considered the same thing.. <shrugs> It was meant to be a cheeky comment lol I didnt really expect anyone to take my comment seriously. Good for you though! Nice response :)
