Personally, i think it's stupid for a dom to be leeching off a sub for any reason. Now demanding being treated nicely, going out on dates and the sub pays for it, that's not bad.

This does lead into a question of my own, is it wrong for a dom to make money off their slave's services?

That is true that time is money...but if that's the case, why let it interfere with your regular job? If the sub is that interested he (or she) should be willing to work with the Domme's schedule.

OP, if financial domination and paying tributes aren't your thing, then simply don't participate in those activities. But there's no need to whine about it. There are some who enjoy financial domination. Why not allow them to pay tribute in peace?

Roch, I usually assume bitching about findommes and prodommes is either because the person is narked that they cannot get something for free, or that fin/prodommes are simply the focus for some deep dissatisfaction within them.

I have acctually played with one Dom who demanded tributes. Male Dom, and, last time I checked, I am a female sub. He wanted very specific tributes - not cash, that seemed no fun to him, but his exactly prefered snack, drink, tobaco blend, ect. it was fun. He got off on it, obvouisly, or he wouldn't have asked for it - and honestly, so did I. It wasn't about the cost of the tribute, it was about the tribute itself. That, I suspect, is why so many Dommes who ask for tributes ask for gifts instead of cash. but that's just a guess.

This may be somewhat off topic, I hope no one takes offense.

I am a female dominant, and I do not ask for tributes. I don't actually find "tribute" arousing, even in the vanilla world - a man buying me an expensive dinner does not win him any favors, and in some cases is a strike against him. I also have a mild sugarbaby fetish. I like to buy small things for my submissive, and occasionally even large things. It is particularly arousing to me when I know that she is going through a difficult time financially. (Disclaimer: I encourage her to try to become financially independent, and I would never try to keep her dependent on me.)

What I'm saying is, the exchange of money is a powerful thing. For some people, it is an erotic thing. A dominant having a "sugarbaby" that ze gives money and trinkets to is not actually that different from a submissive who gives hir dominant "tribute" in the form of money and trinkets. Generally, it is men who take the "giving money and trinkets" role, but I am here to tell you that some women are also aroused by the dynamic.

What the hell do you care if people give money, gifts or what the fuck ever to whomever they want to for whatever reason they want to? It has nothing to do with you. Its a transaction between two people that WANT TO DO THAT. I have no intention of ever asking for tribute of any kind. As a matter of fact, I enjoy buying gifts for my submissive when I have one. If the submissive has a problem with that, I'm sure he'll let me know. If not, great! I see no reason to get all up in arms about something that two people apparently enjoy.
