I just think it's a very strange value system," Gingrich added.




Then, asked whether it concerned him that many people continue to believe Obama is Muslim, Gingrich replied, "It should bother the president. Why does the president behave the way that people would think that? You have to ask, why would they believe that? It's not because they're stupid. It's because they watch the kind of things I just described to you. When you have every bishop in the Catholic Church say this administration's at war with their religion, you don't think that has an impact?"



More like newty and his fox employers have been feeding thing myth.....

Status: offline 		Of course, it would never occur to Newt that an apology might be in order when you do something that is incredibly offensive to someone else. Even though everyone involved is long dead, the Japanese government still won't apologize to Korea for things done during WWII. Why? Well, it would mean a loss of face. It took way too long, but the US finally apologized to the Japanese Americans who were interned during the war...because it was the right thing to do. It takes a "bigger man" to admit a mistake...and we all know how small and petty Newt is.

I am guessing he forgets many American Muslims are in the military and died on 9/11. To have a man who would be king..... err President---- not even know basic facts on his own countryman is indeed sad. It is no wonder so many republican posters get confused on the issue, if the would be boss cant even get it right.

Im not even touching Newts stance on seperation of State and politics. Well, at least not yet.

Status: offline 		What a hypocrite. Newt forgets that people thought he was Muslim before he was elected...kinda blows his theory of people getting that perception from his actions as POTUS.

People like Rush, Hannity, Coulter have said almost from the day Obama entered the '08 race that he's Muslim--so of course their followers have to believe them, even though they know he also sat in a Christian church "they" don't like for 20 years.

As to Newt's comments--simple pandering to the unthinking.

I'm sure it does. I wonder though if it owes more to the persecution complex I've observed in American Catholics (having spent a lifetime among them) than to anything Obama actually is or has done.

Status: offline 		I think Newt is wrong, it is more of the media problem, and the problem with very short attention span of Americans. Obama is not a religious man. His best friend Lloyd Blankfein looks like a devil; Obama could be a devil worshiper.
