I have a 93 S10 Blazer (4 dr, 2 whl drive), with the 4.3 Vortec engine.

I have tried googling for a spark plug wiring diagram, and haven't been able to find it.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Just need to know which wire goes where on teh dist. cap.

Sometimes it can just be common sense to figure it out without manuals. So long as you know where to start on the distributor cap. Typically the shortest wire goes to the nearest plug and so forth. But as I said, the key is knowing where they plug in on the cap.

Hint: sometimes the caps have numbers printed on them.

I have the right wires on the right plugs (I took them off and replaced them one at a time). During the replacement process, though, one fo them came off the cap before I got the one I was working with attached. I *thought* I gotten the 2 wires onto the right places on the cap, but based on the way the car is running (or not running, to be accurate) I was apparently wrong.

I guess what I need to know is which wire goes where on the cap (with the correct wires being on the correct plugs).

Sounds like every time I've been in the middle of a project as well, its always something.

submit, I now officially love you :) It stopped raining (for a minute) and I had, indeed, screwed up the sequence. I am happy to say that that has been remedied, and now my car is running more like the POS I was accustomed to, and not the back-firing/stalling/determined to make me leave it on the side a road somewhere so that the title holder would have to come get it!! (ok, that last bit is still on the table, but...)

THANK YOU!!

I'm happy that it was an easy fix... I have had more than my share of POS cars... including a 91 S-10, at least you don't have a 2.8L.
If you have to go with another POS car, I'ld suggest Subaru, I've put 430,000 and 238,000 on two of them and after I move I have a 91 waiting for me.

Hi Greedy!!!!

Hi Cryptic!! While the car is back to more or less running condition, I had forgotten about the fact I still have no working wipers (a casualty of having the ignition broken out rather than sink a couple more hundred into replacing the ignition after it locked up with the key in it - while running).

I'm seriously considering a scooter (I saw an Aprilla for sale for under 1800.00)

We've gone to the dealer and had them bring up the diagrams on the screen and even print it out for us. Parts department, not service. Service guys get snooty that you aren't paying them to do it.

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet and it may be a bit costly but, have you considered getting the Chilton manual for the vehicle?

Peace and comfort,

Michael
